Life as a military wife was beyond demanding, but Susan always rose to the occasion. This real-life love story is far from a fairy tale. One was a famous astronaut-an instrumental part of the Apollo space program-but the other was just as much a warrior. The decades-long love story of a NASA commander and the leader of the Astronaut Wives Club Far Side of the Moon is the untold, fully authorized story of the lives of Frank and Susan Borman. The Chandraayan 2 was launched on July 22, 2019. India has already successfully launched a probe to the moon that crashed on March 1, 2009, after its launch on October 22, 2008. The second lunar orbit called Chang’e-3 managed to land a rover on the surface of the moon. The orbit completed its 16-month mission and crashed on March 1, 2009. ChinaĬhina has also launched two lunar orbiters to the moon, the first one being on October 24, 2007, and it was called the Chang’e-1. The Hiten probe was launched on January 24, 1990, and crashed on April 10, 1993, while the Selene orbiter was launched September 14, 2007, and crashed on June 10, 2009. Japan launched two probes, the Hiten and Selene, that both orbited the moon before crashing on its surface as planned. Japan recovered quickly from the ashes of the Second World War and soon sent a space probe to the moon. Information about the tests and launches were revealed after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. These lunar missions were unmanned and were conducted from 1958 to 1976. Later, the USSR also sent missions to the moon. Yuri Gagarin from the USSR became the first human to journey into outer space. We have also produced a PDF version of 200 pages which includes the manuals of the different modules and the tutorial. has been updated with screenshots and photos in situation showing the new possibilities offered by this new version 7. The US has launched further probes to the moon with the latest being on September 7, 2013, where the LADEE probe mission began and ended on April 18, 2014. Before this achievement, there were unmanned probes that were sent to the moon to conduct scientific studies. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) carried out famous moon landings including the one in 1969 that took the first human, Neil Armstrong, to the moon. However, Russia (the USSR), Japan, China, the European Space Agency, and India have all made visits to the moon via probes. The United States is the only country to have ever put people on the moon. There is also a very high chance that things could go wrong as accidents do happen like the Challenger Disaster of 1986 and the Columbia Space Shuttle Explosion in 2003. Vast amounts of money are used in the research, development, and launching of probes into space as well as when training astronauts. This was a culmination of work begun nearly 400 years earlier, when Thomas Harriot, Galileo Galilei, and others first turned their telescopes on the Moon, revealing a world of wonder and surprise. Space exploration is an expensive and risky affair, even with the modern-day advances in technology. ![]()
